The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khalid Ait Taleb met, Monday in Casablanca, with the secretary general of the Moroccan Labor Union (UMT), El Miloudi Moukharik as well as the members of the general secretariat of this union, as part of a new tour of social dialogue with the trade unions.
In a statement to the press, Mr. Ait Taleb explained that this meeting is part of the exchange between all the actors to succeed in revitalizing the royal project on the reform of the health system.
The minister also underlined that the draft framework law N°06-22 relating to the national health system reflects the royal will, adding that this project constitutes a revolution in the health sector.
Mr. Ait Taleb also emphasized the major role of trade union centers in the culmination of this royal project, the improvement of the situation of employees in the sector and the realization of social peace, recalling the commitment of the ministry to preserve the achievements and work to improve the conditions of employees in this sector.
In a similar statement, Mr. El Miloudi Moukharik expressed the UMT’s commitment to boosting this royal project relating to the reform of the health system and the generalization of social protection.
He also hailed the willingness of the ministry to devote the mechanisms of dialogue and adopt a participatory approach through communication with trade union centers and adherence to a serious and responsible dialogue to find solutions beneficial to professionals in the sector.
