Reece James and Lauren James become the first brother-sister duo to lace up the boots for the England national team
In the history of world football, many brothers have played together for different teams. Eden Hazard- Thorgan Hazard, Jerome Boateng- Kevin Prince Boateng, Lucas Hernandez- Theo Hernandez, the Pogba brothers and the Fellaini brothers are all the mainstays in this line-up.
But now Reece James and Lauren James have become the first brother-sister pair to represent England in senior international football.
A defender in Gareth Southgate’s side, Rees is a regular for the English side. But now the star’s sister Lauren James has also got a place in the England national senior team.
Lauren James made it to the national team during the Women’s World Cup qualifiers. It is the first time in history that siblings have been part of the senior England team.

Having previously reached under-19 level, Lauren is one of the top talents in the English women’s team. But since 2020 fitness issues have plagued him and he has not made it to the senior team.
Lauren came on for the last 11 minutes of the 2023 Women’s World Cup qualifier once morest Austria. England defeated Austria in the match.
