CHow much should a company pay to keep a full-time employee in the office for a year? For this, office real estate professionals rely on the Occupier Cost Index (OCI), the benchmark index that analyzes the cost of offices per full-time employee per year. This index analyzes all European countries. The OCI mixes data from 3,830 buildings, or 25.1 million m2 of offices, and 1.93 million full-time equivalents.

According the professional real estate specialist Colliers, it fell in Belgium by around 4% compared to 2021. In 2022, the Belgian OCI amounted to €11,067 per employee. The European average also fell by 4%, to stand at €9,122.
