Reduced and gourmet formula for Rock Altitude

Rock Altitude will not take place in its usual form in 2023. The festival is renewing the Crock’Alt formula this year, which will take place from August 10 to 12. Created during the Covid-19 pandemic, this concept combines meals and concerts on the Communal site. The organizers justify this choice by a shortage of volunteer staff and logical challenges that have pushed the organization “into its last entrenchments”. A concept that is “simpler in terms of infrastructure and more reasonable in terms of budget”, specifies the press release. The format also allows Rock Altitude to stand out “by offering an atypical experience”.

New version of the Crock’Alt

The Crock’Alt will take place over three days – instead of two in 2021 – and will offer festival-goers a less copious and therefore cheaper version. Tickets will be sold at around 90 francs for the full version and 50 francs for the reduced option.

The organizers also announce an unprecedented collaboration with the Music Society of La Chaux-de-Fonds. The Duo Jatekok – the only artists authorized to revisit the titles of the German metal band Rammstein – will offer a piano concert on Saturday August 12. A collaboration which aims to “open classical music to other audiences”, specifies the organization.

The different meal formulas and programming will be available at the end of April. /comm-gtr
