Redmi Note 14 Pro & Note 14 Pro+ renderings show a premium design

The last few weeks have been particularly favorable for Xiaomi. The company has managed to overtake Apple in the global smartphone sales rankings. Mid-range devices such as the Redmi Note series have helped it achieve this feat. Now, the Chinese giant has announced that the Redmi Note 14 series will be released “next week”, as well as the design of the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Pro+.

As for the Redmi Note 14 launch date, Xiaomi has not given a specific day. All we know is that the new devices will launch sometime next week. It seems that the company wants to keep the expectations around the series alive until almost the last day. It is possible that Xiaomi will announce the exact date of the event before the end of this week.

The company also confirmed the design of the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro+ in renders. The Redmi Note series has been relying on a “premium-like” look for some time to stand out in the segment, especially in the Pro models. It seems that the upcoming range will follow the same path. The renders show the Redmi Note 14 Pro in two color variants: Phantom Blue and Twilight Purple. The Redmi Note 14 Pro+, on the other hand, stands out in a Porcelain White finish.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro and 14 Pro+ will have rounded edges on the front and back. For the Pro model, the company is experimenting with a two-tone back where the colors are distributed in grids. The Twilight Purple variant of the Pro features a particularly elegant vegan leather cover. The Pro+ model, on the other hand, relies on a simpler, single-colored surface.

There are also visual differences between the rear camera modules of both versions. The “island” is thinner on the Pro version, but the camera lenses protrude noticeably. The camera island of the Pro+ model, on the other hand, is thicker and encloses the lenses in a “dome”. There may be other differences in aspects such as weight and thinness, but these are still unknown.

According to leaks, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip will power the Redmi Note 14 Pro. It will also offer 90W fast charging and a 50MP main camera. The Pro+ variant, meanwhile, will be based on Mediatek’s Dimensity 7350 chip. Xiaomi confirmed that both devices will be durable thanks to IP68 water and dust resistance and an improved diamond texture. Finally, the series will enjoy “extended software support.”
