Among Xiaomi’s various mid-range cell phone options, we have the Redmi Note 13 5G. Will it be a good purchase for the segment? Is its cost-benefit more interesting than its rivals? Check out our analysis.

This is another one from Xiaomi that follows the standard design of the line with two cameras highlighted on the back and a mirrored block in contrast to the matte plastic back. It has thinner edges than basic models from other brands and features good build quality in a body with a comfortable grip.

Its 6.67-inch screen has a Full HD+ AMOLED panel and 120 Hz refresh rate. The brightness level is high to guarantee a good experience outside the home, while we have saturated colors with a wide viewing angle. The sound is only mono, but it manages to deliver good power with well-balanced audio between bass, mids and treble.

The hardware is the Dimensity 6080 with 6 GB of RAM in the one we tested. It did well in our speed test and held many apps open at the same time, which is normally rare in Xiaomi mid-range devices with such an amount of memory. HyperOS must have helped, while gaming performance is only decent. Don’t expect to run heavy games smoothly in high quality.

What disappoints is the 5,000 mAh battery, which not only yields less than its predecessor, but also falls below its main rivals in autonomy with moderate use. It comes with a 33W charger that we also expected to be more agile and takes up to 3 hours to fill the battery.

There is a triple photographic set consisting of 108 MP cameras, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera and a simple 2 MP camera. The quality is good and there is an efficient night mode. The 16 MP front camera takes good selfies and doesn’t suffer much at night. The camcorder is limited in both resolution and quality, it also doesn’t deal with blur that well and the focus isn’t the most agile. The sound capture is stereo and has decent quality.

Is the Redmi Note 13 5G worth buying? Despite not being an evolution in all aspects, it is still a good Xiaomi cell phone. In the link below you will find all the details of our analysis and whether it is a better option than rivals from Samsung and Motorola.

The Redmi Note 13 5G arrived on the Brazilian market in early 2024 by R$ 2.499. Below you will find the best offers:
