The Xiaomi brand offers a wide range of smartphones including several models below 500 €. Among the best, we have selected the Xiaomi 12X, the Xiaomi 12T, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ but also the POCO F5 and the POCO X5 Pro. But between them, which one is really made for you? Here are some details of their respective datasheets compared to help you find yours.

Among the mobiles that we have selected under the Xiaomi brand, the Xiaomi 12X and Xiaomi 12T have common points, particularly in terms of profiles. They have a plate, in the back to accommodate the photo sensors, taking up the color of the rest of the back shell for better visual harmony. The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ also uses a plate for the sensors with the same shade, slightly wider. The POCO F5 offers an extremely sleek back with sensors that seem just posed. The POCO X5 Pro, for its part, has a colorized plate which is extended by the same shade across the width. Several colors are available for each model, which everyone will appreciate. Of all of them, it is the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ which is the heaviest with a weight that exceeds 200 grams, for 210 grams exactly on the scale. Then there is the Xiaomi 12T with a weight of 202 grams, then the POCO F5 and POCO X5 Pro which weigh 181 grams and finally the Xiaomi 12X which weighs only 176 grams. The latter is also the most compact of all the mobiles we have selected and therefore the one that will occupy the least space in your pocket or in a bag. On the contrary, it is the Xiaomi 12T which is the largest.

For autonomy, the Xiaomi 12X has a 4500 mAh battery while all the others benefit from a little more with 5000 mAh. The Xiaomi 12T and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ support charging at 120 watts, which is very fast, much more than the 67 watts supported by the other three. If you like wireless charging, the Xiaomi 12X is the one to choose since it offers this possibility as well as reverse charging.

Which is more powerful and which screens?

If you are looking for the most powerful Xiaomi mobile in our comparison, it is the Xiaomi 12T which dominates the debates with its MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Ultra chipset associated with 8 GB of RAM. Then there is the POCO F5 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor with 8 or 12 GB of RAM followed by the Xiaomi 12X with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 Soc and 8 GB of RAM then the POCO X5 Pro with a Snapdragon processor 778G and finally the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ which uses a Dimensity 1080 chip with 8 of RAM.

For screens, it’s quite simple. All use AMOLED panels. Only the Xiaomi 12X has a 6.28-inch screen, so smaller than the 6.67-inches of all the others. They are HDR10+ compatible and, for the Xiaomi 12X, POCO F5 and Redmi Note 12 Pro+, also support the Dolby Vision format. All use a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz. The touch sampling rate is 480 Hz for the Xiaomi 12X and Xiaomi 12T allowing you to take advantage in games because they are more responsive to commands.

What configurations for photos and what connectivity?

To take photos, the best equipped mobile is, on paper, the Redmi Note 12 Pro + with its optically stabilized 200 megapixel main sensor and its two secondary 8 and 2 megapixel sensors. It’s almost the same configuration as on the back of the Xiaomi 12T with, this time, a 108-megapixel main camera also optically stabilized to limit shake. It’s the same block as on the POCO X5 Pro but with an unstabilized main sensor. The POCO F5 offers a configuration of 64 + 8 + 2 stabilized megapixels. Finally, the Xiaomi 12X has a 50 megapixel sensor accompanied by a 13 megapixel module for shooting in ultra wide-angle mode and a 5 megapixel camera. The latter has the largest selfie sensor, with 32 megapixels compared to 20 megapixels on the front of the Xiaomi 12T and 16 megapixels for the other three.

Finally, regarding connectivity, all are 5G compatible. Only the POCO X5 Pro offers Wi-Fi 5, which is less efficient than the Wi-Fi 6 of the others. The Xiaomi 12T and Xiaomi 12X do not have an audio jack port and have a fingerprint reader under the screen while it is placed on the standby button for the other three. All have an infrared transmitter, on the upper profile, to make it a universal remote control.
