The Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G tries to attract an audience that wants a decent intermediary, but does not insist on the fifth generation mobile network. On the other hand, the Moto G53 already has 5G, but has some other savings.
In this fight between Xiaomi’s smartphone and Motorola’s, which one has the best set of the duo? That’s what we’re going to check out now, in this TudoCelular Comparison.

Design and connectivity
Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G
We started with the design with two entirely plastic constructions, either on the sides or on the back. The Moto stands out here for having the most compact and lightest body of the duo. But don’t expect any liquid and dust protection certificates on these two.
In any case, everyone follows their own path to look more premium. Redmi uses a domino-style camera block and metallic paint, with a matte frame. On the other hand, The G53 already prefers the brand’s square and smaller module, which leaves the sensors well highlighted.
Motorola Moto G53
The two manufacturers did not change the type of notch and left a centralized hole layout in their intermediaries. Apart from the fingerprint reader, which is integrated into the power button in both cases.
These cell phones support storage expansion, through the hybrid drawer that shares the second space for the operator chip with the microSD card slot. Both also have fifth generation Wi-Fi and NFC, depending on the market. The Moto G’s Bluetooth 5.1 is still slightly better than the Note 12 Pro’s 5.0.
Motorola leads the way with its more compact and lighter design.

Bodies
On one side is Redmi’s 6.67-inch AMOLED screen. On the other, the Moto’s 6.5-inch IPS LCD display appears. The Chinese model has an advantage not only in size and frontal use, but also because its material offers a higher level of brightness and a wider viewing angle.
The Note 12 Pro also has Full HD+ resolution, for better image definition than the HD+ panel present in the G53. Not to mention support for Dolby Vision, which improves the display of compatible content in streaming.
At least, both provide a 120 Hz refresh rate, with excellent fluidity in system animations.
It’s a point for Xiaomi.

As
These manufacturers did not skimp on audio and placed a stereo system in these intermediaries, for better user immersion. The Chinese preferred a second sound output in the upper portion, while Motorola uses the call speaker as a secondary channel.
Both smartphones have good power, but the Moto fails to distort more at maximum volume. This is due to the excess of treble in relation to bass and midrange. Redmi gets this right and has a good balance of frequencies.
None of the companies ship a standard headphone in the package, but they still left a physical connector in these models.
The Note 12 Pro makes another point.

System
Redmi comes out of the box with Android 11 as its native system. Although it is already in version 13 of the “little robot”, it will not reach the useful life of the Moto, which comes with Android 13 from the factory and still has edition 14 guaranteed.
The duo delivers good fluidity, driven by the 120 Hz screen rate of these devices, but Motorola’s cleaner interface ends up giving the experience an advantage. The G53 is also the only one to support 5G technology, for a faster mobile network.
Moving on to the features, the MIUI of the Note 12 Pro contains the shortcuts in the floating menu, the functions for the power button and the various customization options. For Moto, the highlights are the famous gestures to turn on the flashlight and open the camera, in addition to the Secure Folder, which allows you to protect apps and media with an access password.
Greater longevity, better smoothness and 5G presence. It’s a point for Motorola.

Performance
The Redmi is equipped with the already old Snapdragon 732G platform, once morest the Snapdragon 480 Plus chip that powers the Moto. How do they fare in performance? Despite having less RAM than its rival, the G53 proved capable of holding more apps in the background and was around 17 seconds faster than its competitor.
The benchmarks already point to a greater balance, with practically a technical tie between the two in AnTuTu. In terms of games, the GPU of both is capable of running even the most demanding titles well.
With more efficient multitasking, Motorola scores in this regard.

Battery
Capacity is increasingly standardized in the cell phone market, here we have two models with a 5,000 mAh battery. But this is far from meaning the same autonomy. In our standardized tests, the Note 12 Pro lasted almost 28 hours in total, with an advantage of more than 7 hours over the time recorded by the G53.
And even on recharge, we didn’t see a change between them. Redmi’s 67 W adapter allows you to complete the process in 51 minutes, almost an hour less than the waiting time taken by the Moto, with its 20 W TurboPower.
This is an easy point for Xiaomi.

Cmera
The Chinese company inserted a photographic set made up of four cameras in its intermediary, led by a 108 MP main one. Motorola was more modest and left only two lenses on its cell phone, with a 50 MP primary.
Both devices get the colors right and maintain average contrast, in addition to not disappointing in the dynamic range. At night, both show a drop in sharpness, but nothing that makes the images disposable. Their macro is not exciting and suffers from low resolution and the lack of autofocus.
Only Redmi has an ultrawide sensor, which takes good photos in well-lit places and is an additional option for wider recordings. It also has a blur lens, which does a good job without limiting HDR in portrait mode.
With a more versatile set, the point goes to the Note 12 Pro.

The Redmi’s camcorder supports 4K videos, while the Moto’s is limited to Full HD resolution. Their quality is decent during the day and they do a good job of capturing stereo sound. Only the Chinese model comes with an electronic stabilization system, although it is far from perfect.
The superior resolution and the feature to deal with blur give the point to Xiaomi.

The G53’s front camera is capable of half the resolution of the Note 12 Pro 4G’s sensor. Even so, we both have good selfies during the day and a portrait mode that does not disable HDR, despite the flaws presented. In dark places, both suffer from a drop in sharpness, but you will still have more details in the Chinese captures.
It’s another point for Redmi.

Of the two manufacturers, only Motorola officially brought its intermediary to Brazil. The Moto G53 was launched for a suggested price of R$1,900, but can now be found on the national market in the R$1,000 range. The value is below the just over R$1,400 charged for the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G, when sold through importers.
Therefore, G53 closes the duel with the last point.

Finished
In the final score, Xiaomi beat Motorola, but without a big gap on the scoreboard. The Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G was superior in its larger and better quality screen, in its more balanced sound, in its battery life with better autonomy and shorter charging time, in addition to the more versatile set of cameras on the rear, with better resolution in videos and with higher definition in selfies.
On the other hand, the Moto G53 had its merits. It is the one that provides the most compact and lightest design, the most fluid system and with 5G, not to mention its best multitasking performance. This cell phone can still be found at the best price in Brazilian retail, but it won’t be a better deal if your priorities are multimedia, autonomy and cameras.
RESULT
Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G: 6 POINTS
Larger screen, AMOLED and with Dolby Vision More balanced sound with less distortion Battery with greater autonomy and shorter recharge time Photographic set with ultrawide camera Videos with 4K support and electronic stabilization Better night selfies with higher definition
