Xiaomi brought the Redmi Note 11S and Note 11 to the Indian market back in February. However, it took a while to bring up the professional variants. The company addressed this two weeks ago by announcing the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro+ 5G in the country. The Redmi Note 11 Pro + 5G has been on sale for a while now. Redmi Note 11 Pro finally joins its brother today. The device is for sale in the country and starts from noon today, local time. Note 11 Pro It will also be available for purchase in India through Mi.com, Amazon.in, Mi Home and other retail partners.
In India, the Redmi Note 11 Pro is sold in Stealth Black, Phantom White and Star Blue colours. The phone is available with 6 GB random memory and 128 GB internal storage. There is also a variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The price of the phone is 17,999 Indian rupees, which is equivalent to 235 US dollars. The high-end version comes at $260. For those unaware, the Redmi Note 11 Pro packs a MediaTek Helio G96 SoC. That might sound strange for a ‘Pro’ smartphone in 2022. But the truth is that there aren’t many ‘good’ options in the 4G sector anymore.
The main specifications of the Redmi Note 11 Pro
Helio G96 is the same 12nm chipset as Helio G95T. The big difference is that it now resists higher resolution screens. Apart from that, it is the same processor with ARM Cortex-A76 cores and six ARM Cortex-A55 cores. The Redmi Note 11 Pro features a 6.67-inch Full HD + AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. The phone draws its power from a 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging. The phone is still running Android 11 but runs MIUI 13. In terms of optics, the phone comes with a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide rear camera, 2MP macro sensors, and a 2MP depth sensor.
Other specs include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, dual speakers, Hi-Res Audio certification, IR blaster, and an IP53 rating.
For a quick comparison, the Note 11 Pro + 5G offers similar specifications such as screen and size. However, the device brings Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G which is a much better display than Helio G96. The phone abandons the fourth 2-megapixel camera and keeps the remaining three cameras. It offers up to 8 GB of RAM with 256 GB of internal storage.
The device will have a tough struggle with Realme 9 Pro series for the preference of Indian customers. Meanwhile, a certain part of the users will be waiting for the Redmi K50 series which should land in the market as the POCO F4 series.
