After several rumors and leaks, Redmi made a new cell phone official in India, the Redmi A3. As its name suggests, it is the latest model in the Redmi A line that features entry-level devices with competitive prices.
The cell phone arrives as the direct successor to the Redmi A2 and Redmi A1 launched in 2023 and 2022, respectively. India is the first country to receive the device, which should reach more countries in the coming weeks.

In design, the Redmi A3 appears to be a premium device with its large circular camera module. It has a flat screen and a glass and leather finish on the back, giving the “basicão” a more luxurious look.
The Redmi A3 has a 6.7-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution (1,650 x 720 pixels) and 90 Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, there is MediaTek’s Helio G36 platform with LPDDR4X RAM memory and eMMC 5.1 internal storage. In the operating system, it comes standard with Android 13 under the MIUI 14 interface.
For power, there is a 5,000 mAh battery unit and 10W charging. In terms of photography, the device has an 8 megapixel main sensor and a 0.08 megapixel auxiliary sensor. For selfies and video calls, there is a 5 megapixel front sensor.
Like other entry-level cell phones, it has a P2 input for headphones and space for a microSD card. For biometrics, there is a fingerprint reader on the side. In connectivity, the Redmi A3 has dual SIM, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS.
