Update (01/27/2023) – GS
On the last 25th, Microsoft and Bethesda held an event to reveal news of their games and one of the highlights was Redfall, a new game from the studio Arkane Lion, the same person responsible for the acclaimed Deathloop.
After revealing the game’s release date, the title page on Steam has been updated with the minimum requirements for the PC, showing that you won’t need a super-powered machine.
MINIMUM:
- Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
- SO: Windows 10 64-bit
- Processador: Intel Core i5-8400 @ 2.80GHz ou AMD Ryzen 5 1600
- Memory: 16 GB of RAM
- Video Card: AMD RX 580 / NV GTX 1070 / 6 GB VRAM
- Network: Broadband internet connection
- Storage: 100 GB available space
- Additional notes: SSD recommended
Arkane games have never been particularly demanding, as they rely on stylized graphics. Judging by these minimum requirements, Redfall should be no exception.
Compared to Deathloop, we have very similar specs, although Redfall’s are a bit higher. The CPU requirement is exactly the same, but the required RAM has increased from 12 GB to 16 GB.
The GPU requirement is the same for AMD users (RX 580), although it has gone up slightly for NVIDIA users (GTX 1070, while Deathloop requires a GTX 1060). The storage requirement has also increased considerably from just 30GB to 100GB for Redfall.
Redfall launches on PC and Xbox Series X/S in may 2nd.
So, looking forward to the game?
Update (10/26/2022) – GS
Even though Redfall, one of the first Xbox exclusive Bethesda games, has been postponed to 2023, the publisher continues to feed fans with news regarding the project and to take advantage of the arrival of Halloween, a new trailer was released this week.
Called “Into the Night,” the new trailer explores more of the horrors coming to the sleepy town of Redfall, Massachusetts, which has been turned into a dark hell by vampires and cultists.
Don’t be fooled by the more cartoonish look, as the trailer shows that we will have a very terrifying gameplay, with low lighting, lots of blood and fast vampires.
Halloween is different here, and there’s nothing better to get you in the mood than a fresh trailer showcasing the game’s most sinister bloodsuckers. From the Predator to the ever-watchful Sentinel, this is just a taste of what you and your squads will face in the fight to rescue Redfall.
Redfall arrives exclusively for Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2023 and will also be added to the Game Pass catalog at launch.
