Vienna (OTS) – It’s that time once more! The »RED LIGHT. Festival for Analogue Photography” opens its doors for the third time. The analog photography event in Vienna has now developed into a creative fixture of contemporary analog photography in Central Europe, with a strong international response. The main exhibition will be on view in the studio house of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (formerly Semperdepot). The 20 winning projects from the Open Call, which ended this year with a total of 460 submissions from 44 different countries, will be exhibited there. During the ten days of the festival, the festival headquarters will present lectures, workshops and other side events in addition to the main exhibition.
In addition to the main exhibition, there will once more be numerous exhibitions spread across a total of 13 districts in Vienna. In addition to 30 exhibitions, there will be over 20 workshops, artist talks and guided tours. The festival’s offering is intended to promote networking and creativity among artists, both for professional photographers as well as for amateurs and those interested in photography in general.
The opening will take place on November 17th at 7:00 p.m. in the studio house of the Academy of Fine Arts. Sixteen of the winners will also be present in person for the opening. The opening will be duly celebrated with performances, musical interludes and an following party, with the artists, the international audience and the entire ROTLICHT team!

The festival opens its doors on November 17, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the Atelierhaus of the Academy of Fine Arts, Léhargasse 8/Tor 2, 1060 Vienna. Admission to the opening is free.
