It is well known: Red Dead Redemption II is a game with gargantuan content that is teeming with details. Four years following its release, some of them are still emerging on the web…
Bottle challenge
Arthur Morgan’s adventure has clearly marked the spirits with a red iron and for a lot of legitimate reasons: the quality of its writing, the maturity of its words or quite simply the realism of its open world, absolutely striking. Rockstar has raised the open world to another level and as the studio knows how to do so well, a plethora of small details or easter eggs were to be discovered.
Four years already following the release of the game, a player on Reddit has just noticed a little attention from the developers: in the middle of a fight, if Arthur drinks an elixir from the bottle, the enemies can aim for it and shoot it to prevent you from taking advantage of it. The Internet user also paid the price and shared his discovery on Reddit, quickly arousing the enthusiasm of thousands of people who, too, had never realized this precise fact. Obviously not enough to revolutionize the experience, but simply enough to prove – once more – Rockstar’s sense of detail.
RDR2, one of the best-selling games in the world
Recently, Take-Two, the parent company of Rockstar, took stock of the last fiscal year: an opportunity to update the sales of its various titles, including Red Dead Redemption II. And the gangster game of yesteryear is an absolutely phenomenal card with no less than 44 million copies sold, which places it in seventh place among the best-selling games of all time.
Arthur Morgan finds himself sandwiched by the Italian plumber since in eighth place, we find Super Mario Bros.. with 40 million takers and in sixth place, a certain Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and its nearly 54 million units.
Note also that Take-Two plans to release eight reissues of its old games over the next three years: we can then bet on the possible emergence of Red Dead Redemption II sur PlayStation 5 et Xbox Series, which would not be a refusal for some.
