Red Bull Racing Dominates 2023 F1 Season with 11 Consecutive Wins and Honda F1 Engine Triumph

Red Bull Racing won the 2023 F1 Round 11 British GP with Max Verstappen. They extended their winning streak from the start of the season. Counting from the Abu Dhabi GP since last year, it has won 11 consecutive wins, tying with McLaren Honda’s MP4/4 win record in 1988 with Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost.

It was also the moment when the Honda F1 engine, which is currently installed in the Red Bull Racing machine as the engine name of RBPT Honda, became the strongest F1 engine once more following 35 years. Red Bull Racing F1 Team Principal Christian Horner said: “The team’s first British Grand Prix victory since 2012, Max’s second at Silverstone and our 11th win in a row make this a very special win. But it’s not without challenges,” he said. “We expected it to be a medium-hard race, but following seeing George’s performance on the soft tyres, we started thinking regarding our strategy and when the safety car was brought out in the final quarter, the soft tyres gave Max a DRS. He thought it would be a perfect chance to beat him, and he quickly increased his lead to two seconds, following which he was to manage the rest of the race, but once once more Max was twelve. “Similarly, Czech also found great form today. Especially Carlos’s entry into Stowe and his pace in the final stint really shows how skillful he is as a driver. It’s been frustrating for him to have been forced back in qualifying the last few races, but he’s picking up his pace and Budapest will show that even more.”
