Raubling/Fuschl – Beverage manufacturer Red Bull plans to become the majority owner of the German racing bike team Bora-Hansgrohe around the Slovenian Primoz Roglič. According to a statement from the Federal Competition Authority On December 29th, a “planned acquisition transaction” amounting to 51 percent of the shares in “RD pro cycling GmbH & Co. KG and RD Beteiligungs GmbH (owner of the professional road cycling team Bora-Hansgrohe, note)” was registered. The German Ralph Denk is behind the two companies. He has led the team since 2010, for which the Austrians Patrick Gamper, Marco Haller and Alexander Hajek will also drive in 2024.
