Red Bull is looking for a replacement for the Mexican driver

Formula 1 is in the middle of the season and the Mexican Sergio ‘Checo’ Perez has excelled with Red Bull, he is currently third in the drivers’ championship with 151 points.

Last May the Red Bull team extended Checo Pérez’s contract until 2024, however, they already have another driver in their sights, it is regarding Mick Schumacher.

Schumacher in the last Grand Prix has had a great performance that is arousing interest in the Austrians.

“Without the technical problem he had in Montreal, he would have finished in the points there too, the starts are there, he seems like someone who needs criticism and real pressure, it’s something that works,” he shared. Helmut Markoadvisor to Red Bull.

Marko accepted that in the team he closely follows young drivers with the aim of leaving his next single-seaters in good hands, such is the case of Schumacher, who is followed from Formula 3.

“His tendency has been like this throughout his career, in Formula 3 it has been very similar. With the passing of the races he became a driver capable of achieving victories, the same in Formula 2, this is part of his growth as a driver”, he pointed out regarding the german pilot which is part of Haas.
