Red Bull Racing’s F1 team representative Christian Horner has noted the recent rise in performance of the Mercedes F1 and will continue at the next round of the F1 French Grand Prix at the Paul Ricard circuit.
Mercedes F1 struggled to change new aerodynamic rules when F1 cars moved to ground effect cars. In particular, W13 was greatly affected by popping (porpoise phenomenon) / bouncing, and suffered in the first half of the season.

However, Red Bull Racing is 122 points ahead of Mercedes F1 in the Constructors’ Ranking, and it is believed that it will almost win the championship early in the season and end the record of eight consecutive wins for Mercedes F1. ing.
Instead, Mercedes F1 will focus on catching second-placed Ferrari, 66 points behind. With similar positions in the Drivers’ Championship, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton are in 5th and 6th place behind Red Bull Racing and Ferrari drivers.
When asked if Mercedes F1 would be a factor in team battles in the remaining 11 races, Christian Horner said, “I think they will be competitors.”
