Red Bull F1 representative “It was a disappointing qualifying, but I will push hard” / Hungarian Grand Prix Qualifying[F1-Gate.com]

Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing’s F1 team representative, looked back on qualifying for the 2022 F1 Round 13 Hungarian Grand Prix.

It was a tough qualifying for Red Bull Racing. Max Verstappen finished 10th following a technical problem hampered his final lap, while Sergio Perez was 11th following a series of bad luck.

“It was a disappointing qualifying. First the Czech Republic got caught in traffic in Q2 and dropped out, then Max unfortunately had a technical problem,” said Horner.

“We thought Max had a chance to take pole. He was happy with the balance of the car compared to yesterday, but he had a lockup on the first run of Q3 and fell back, and then on the second run. We had a power-related issue that prevented us from recording lap times.”

“Unfortunately we dropped to 10th and 11th, but we will push hard from here. I’m looking forward to the race tomorrow and congratulations to George Russell on his first pole.”
