Red Bull F1 Representative “I hope the relationship with Honda will continue”[F1-Gate .com]

Christian Horner, Red Bull F1 team representative, says he hopes his relationship with Honda will continue.

Honda, an engine supplier for Red Bull Racing, left F1 for the last season, but has proved difficult to separate after Max Verstappen’s F1 World Champion.

This year, Honda continues to supply F1 power units to Red Bull Racing and Scuderia AlphaTauri as HRC (Honda Racing), but the operation itself is done by Red Bull Powertrains, and troubles occurred frequently in the opening three races. ..

“It was very good for us that Honda allowed us to continue using their technology,” Christian Horner told GQ Magazine.

Christian Horner says the continued relationship with Honda worked particularly well in the transition to the new E10 fuel.

“For 2023, 2024 and 2025, we are discussing with Honda about continuing our current relationship,” said Christian Horner.

But for the new engine regulations of 2026, Christian Horner believes it’s important to keep them in-house as much as possible, independent of other parties.

Christian Horner emphasizes that Red Bull will be the only F1 team to do all its activities under one roof, with the exception of Ferrari.

“I think it’s very exciting and definitely profitable,” concludes Christian Horner.
