Helmut Marko, Red Bull F1’s motorsports adviser, said Sergio Perez was “understandable” to be angry at the team order.
Sergio Perez, who was leading the race at the F1 Spanish Grand Prix, was angry with the team’s “unfair” decision to hand over the lead to teammate Max Verstappen. He also vowed to discuss this issue personally over the air.
Former F1 driver Guido van der Gard believes Sergio Perez is “negotiating” a deal with the new Red Bull Racing.

Helmut Marko, Red Bull F1 Motorsports Advisor, said the team order was made because both Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez had “two different strategies”.
“It was clear that the Czech Republic couldn’t finish using his tire set,” Helmut Marko told the ORF.
“And when it comes to strategy, it was very clear that Max was faster.”
“But I understand he was angry. He saw a victory in front of him. Sergio didn’t understand it at the time, but it was to get 1-2. It was the best and safest option. “
