Red Bull F1, 2022 F1 machine “RB18” announced on February 9[F1-Gate .com]

Red Bull F1 announced that it will announce the 2022 F1 machine “RB18” on February 9th (Wednesday).

Red Bull F1 which Max Verstappen won his first F1 world champion in 2021 with RB16B equipped with Honda’s F1 engine. It’s been a long-cherished wish for the team since Sebastian Vettel in 2013.

As the name suggests, the 2021 F1 machine “RB16B” of Red Bull Honda F1 is the B spec version of the machine RB16 last year. In 2021, most of the chassis will be taken over, so the name “RB17” that was supposed to be given to the new car was omitted.

Therefore, the 2022 F1 machine will be given the name “RB18”. Honda officially withdrew from F1, but the RB18, which will be the first machine under the new regulation, will be equipped with F1 engine manufactured and developed by Honda Racing (HRC) via Red Bull Powertrains.
