He was believed to be condemned to certain death, but Félix was finally released from the hospital following four years of hospitalization punctuated by seven operations. The young man had not made plans for a long time because he often encountered death, but now that he is in remission, he can dream, especially since he knows that life is precious and fragile following having lost his friends Kim (Léanne Désilets), Flavie (Audrey Roger) and… now Justin (Antoine L’Écuyer).
Yes, Justin went to join his Flavie in heaven following losing his fight once morest osteosarcoma.

The two authors Michel Brouillette and Stéphanie Perreault wanted to be in tune with life, namely that young patients survive, but others die every day in our hospitals.
“Even though it’s completely heartbreaking and deep down we didn’t want to kill Justin, we did it so as not to betray what people are truly experiencing,” said Ms. Perreault.
Captain Sun
Felix was really a very beautiful character during these three seasons. His discussions full of wisdom and empathy with his friends from the red bracelets touched our hearts and made us think.

Felix told Justin that without him, he would never have gotten through all the obstacles and that he would have liked them to get through it together. It was a very touching and satisfying discussion concocted by the authors, who also allowed their son Léo to play little Milo in the last season.

“Captain Sun is a symbol of incredible resilience. It is based on Albert Espinosa Puig, who created the Catalan series Red bracelets, from which is inspired Red bracelets. We wink at the original author at the end because he wrote a book and that’s why Félix gives his manuscript to Anne [Isabelle Blais]», recalled Michel Brouillette.

Mr. Brouillette told the QMI Agency that he and his wife, even though they wrote the texts and saw the different edits, cry when the episodes are broadcast. The faithful of Red bracelets certainly cried on Tuesday night, but this finale was also filled with happy moments that made viewers feel good.
“We always wanted to maintain light and shadow throughout the series. This is what made us want to write Red bracelets at the beginning. We wanted this balance as well as humor,” said Ms. Perreault, emphasizing that the red bracelets “helped each other a lot through their improbable friendship which saved them all a little”.

“The road was long, arduous, there were lots of complications for Félix, Kevin and Lou, but ultimately they are able to get through it, to recover, they are stronger and the illness has transformed them “, said Mr. Brouillette.
After showing us the nursing staff one last time, the series ended with a hockey game.
“We chose not to reveal what Justin had whispered to Félix, but for us, as hockey was at the heart of his life and he missed it so much, he wanted his friends to play one last game together,” mentioned the author and actress.
The entire series can be caught up on TVA+.
