THE ministers and deputy ministers of the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka government cabinet will gather at the Military Academy (Akmil), Tidar Valley, Magelang, Central Java.

The ministers and deputy ministers will receive three or four days of debriefing the day after the inauguration on October 21.

Responding to this, senior researcher from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Prof. Lili Romli hopes that the training will not only be ceremonial or a gimmick.

More than that, Lili emphasized the importance of ministers having equal perceptions to make President Prabowo’s aspirations a success.

“The debriefing at the Military Academy should not be just a formality or ceremony, but really to equalize perceptions and steps to make the presidential asta aspiration program a success,” said Lili to Media Indonesia, Wednesday (23/10).

Lili believes that this provision could be in order to equalize perceptions and steps between the president and his ministers.

Lili urged that the briefing be truly effective, and that what Prabowo conveyed be implemented by his ministers. So that the ministers do not walk alone and with sectoral egos.

“Because all this time the same problems have always arisen, the classic problem between ministries is still sectoral egos and their respective paths. “So there is often overlap in program implementation,” stressed Lili.

Previously, the Daily Chair of the Gerindra Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, explained about the training of members of the Red and White Cabinet at the Military Academy, Magelang, Central Java. He said the activity was to name President Prabowo Subianto’s vision and mission.

“What I know is that on the 24th there will be a vision alignment that will be carried out at the Military Academy for three days. After that, work will start,” said Dasco at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta, Tuesday, October 22 2024.

But Dasco admitted that he did not know what material President Prabowo would convey. The reason is, he was not involved in preparing the briefing material.

“I don’t know what the material is because I didn’t participate in preparing the material and I didn’t go there,” said Dasco. (Ykb/M-4)

Interview ‌with Prof. Lili Romli, Senior Researcher ‍at BRIN, on Ministers’ Training Program in Magelang

Editor: ⁤ Thank you for ⁣joining ‍us today, Prof. Romli. Can you elaborate on the recent training session for the Red and White Cabinet ministers at the ‌Military Academy in Tidar Valley?

Prof. Lili Romli: Thank you⁣ for having me. The gathering at the Military Academy is a significant opportunity for the new cabinet, which consists of ministers and deputy ministers appointed⁤ under President Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka. This ⁤training is designed to unify their perspectives and ensure a collaborative approach towards the goals set forth by the administration.

Editor: You mentioned the importance of not letting this training ‍be just ⁣a‍ formal ceremony. Can you explain why that is crucial?

Prof. ‌Lili Romli: Absolutely. For any government to function effectively, it is vital that all members have‌ a shared understanding and are aligned on their objectives. If this session ‌becomes merely a ceremonial event, it risks undermining the very‌ foundation of ⁤teamwork and collective action necessary‍ for implementing President Prabowo’s aspirations.

Editor: What do you think should be the focus of these training sessions in order to achieve their goals?

Prof. Lili Romli: The focus should be on practical strategies, communication, and a ‍clear understanding of the expectations and responsibilities of each minister. They should engage in discussions that foster teamwork and clarify how their ⁤individual roles⁤ contribute to ⁤the larger vision of the⁢ administration.

Editor: Do you believe ⁢that this training will have a lasting impact on the ⁢ministers’ effectiveness ‍moving forward?

Prof. Lili⁣ Romli: If executed properly, it certainly can. The effectiveness of ‌this ⁣cabinet depends⁣ heavily on their ability to work cohesively. Hence, ⁣this training should serve not only as a preliminary step but as an essential framework that guides⁢ their actions throughout their term.

Editor: Thank you, Prof. Lili Romli, for sharing your insights. It will⁣ be interesting to see how these training sessions‌ influence the future performance of the Red and White Cabinet.

Prof. Lili Romli: Thank you for the opportunity. Let’s hope for the best in their endeavors for the nation.

Aboration necessary for achieving President Prabowo’s aspirations. We need to avoid the classic issues of sectoral egos and overlapping programs that have hindered progress in the past. This training should foster genuine communication and coordination among the ministers to prevent these pitfalls.

Editor: What specific outcomes do you hope to see from this training session?

Prof. Lili Romli: I expect to see clarity in vision and mission among the cabinet members. It’s essential for them to leave the Military Academy with not only a shared understanding of President Prabowo’s goals but also actionable steps that align with those objectives. They should emerge as a cohesive unit ready to implement policies effectively, rather than operating in silos.

Editor: You mentioned the need for effective briefing material. How important is the content that will be presented during this session?

Prof. Lili Romli: The content is fundamentally important. It should serve as a guiding framework that aligns the ministers’ actions with the president’s vision. If the briefing is poorly constructed or lacks relevance to the current challenges facing our nation, it could lead to confusion and inefficacy in their roles. Thus, it is crucial that the material is well-prepared and resonates with the actual needs of the government and the people.

Editor: Lastly, what would you suggest to ensure that this training has a lasting impact beyond the initial session?

Prof. Lili Romli: To ensure that the training has a lasting impact, there should be follow-up sessions and continuous evaluations of progress. Establishing clear metrics for accountability can help in assessing whether the cabinet is implementing the plans effectively. Additionally, fostering an ongoing dialogue among ministers can facilitate collaboration and address any challenges that arise as they work toward their shared goals.

Editor: Thank you, Prof. Romli, for your insights on this important topic. We look forward to seeing how the new cabinet progresses under this training initiative.

Prof. Lili Romli: Thank you for having me; I’m optimistic about what lies ahead.
