“I want to fix this problem, I want Enrique Alfaro to listen to me once more, I want to go often to Casa Jalisco once more, because I want to be there available so that all of us university students can do things with the state government, because that is what I aspire, I aspire to resolve this conflict”, said the rector.
However, he pointed out that he does not understand what the origin is and revealed that he has been told that it may have to do with the Federation of University Students or with Channel 44, a University outlet.
“I have received complaints from the FEU and the director of Channel 44 and things that they have told me, but they do not give for this conflict, nothing that I have heard that might be what caused this conflict gives so that thousands of young people are left without a classroom”.

In that sense, Villanueva recalled that together with Alfaro he planned to increase high school enrollment by 8,000 places to be the first state to accept all high school applicants and comply with the mandate of the state Constitution that establishes that upper secondary education is mandatory; However, he said, the UdeG has not received a budget increase to continue with that goal.
He indicated that for six months he has tried to explain to the president that increasing enrollment requires a continuous investment that goes beyond the inflationary increase.
When referring to the resolution of the Court that endorsed the reallocation of 140 million pesos that the UdeG had contemplated for the construction of the Museum of Environmental Sciences, the rector recalled that there is still an amparo trial that is yet to be resolved; he defended the museum as an asset of the city and pointed out that it will be built with, without or despite Governor Alfaro.
Villanueva called on the president to conciliate, but for this, he indicated, it is necessary to understand that Jalisco does not have an owner, that it belongs to everyone.
