Likewise, the Council was unable to reach an agreement to elect the rector of the University of Antioquia for the period 2024-2027.
The members of the Higher University Council listened to the proposals of each of the candidates.

However, at the time of voting, none of them managed to obtain the five votes necessary to be appointed.
Marcos Ossa, member of the Higher University Council stated, “None of the candidates reached the minimum votes.”
“The CSU, unanimously, decided to meet on April 2, at 3:00 pm, to start a new voting cycle,” Ossa added.
After this collective decision, the Higher University Council has an appointment next Tuesday, following Easter, to debate these votes.
