Rectangle is an app that promises to transform multitasking on the Mac

An application called Rectangle is attracting the attention of Mac users for its powerful capabilities.

Designed to improve multitasking — just like (today abandoned) Spectacle did — it allows you to organize your desktop windows into different configurations, something that Split View does not offer as much flexibility.

Unlike native macOS features, which restrict users to arranging their windows in full-screen mode, hiding the menu bar and Dock, Rectangle proposes a more flexible and adaptable solution.

With the app, you can gain access to 14 different window positioning options, allowing much more refined control over how and where they can be organized on the screen.

Among the options, there is snapping to the left or right, in the center, in the top or bottom halves of the screen and even in more specific positions, such as in the top left or bottom right corners.

Rectangle also supports both keyboard shortcuts and mouse drag-and-drop actions, allowing users to customize their window management preferences to suit their work style.

O Rectangle There is a free version and a more advanced version (Rectangle Pro), whose lifetime license costs US$10. The free version is already very useful, but the Pro adds extra functions, such as grouping applications using a shortcut and synchronizing settings via iCloud.
