The appointments of the former constitutional constituents Constanza Schönhaut y Cesar Valenzuela in the Ministry of the Interior unleashed this Wednesday criticism from both the opposition and the Democratic Socialismone of the government coalitions.
A month after the plebiscite in which the citizens rejected the proposal for a new Constitution, yesterday it was learned that the lawyer and activist of Social Convergence joined as a new adviser in the cabinet of the Minister of the Interior, Carolina Tohasituation that It has generated questions because -despite his expertise- he was a former partner of the Minister of Social Development, Giorgio Jackson.
In parallel, Valenzuela, a lawyer and representative of the Socialist Party, was appointed as the new head of the “Support for Victims” program, in charge of the Undersecretary of the Interior.
The arrival of Schönhaut and Valenzuela adds to the recent signing of the chief of staff of the Minister of the Interior, Carolina Tohathe also ex-conventional Ricardo Montero (PS), after the change of cabinet on September 6.

TOHÁ DEFENDS APPOINTMENTS AND DENIES “CONSOLATION AWARD”

For his part, the senator and president of the Democratic Revolution, John Ignatius Latorredescribed the criticism of Schönhaut as “unjustified” and remarked that “conventional men and women do not have any labor inability”.
