Recovery work progresses in the Sambil La Candelaria

The interior of the Sambil La Candelaria Shopping Center looks clean, the floors shine and the escalators work. This is part of the progress that has been observed in the recovery work being carried out on the building, following it was returned to its owners by the Venezuelan authorities following being expropriated 13 years ago by the Hugo Chávez government.

Alfredo Cohen, president of Constructora Sambil, showed in a video posted on Instagram part of the interior of what promises to be the newest and most modern shopping center in Venezuela.

“We have the sky and we lack the stars,” said the also president of the Venezuelan Chamber of Shopping Centers.

He explained that in recent days they have had marketing days and have been meeting new operators.

“Each and every one of them with previous experience to achieve the ideal mix of new stores,” he added.

He pointed out that the architecture firm NOGARQ is in charge of the design of the new Gourmet Zone of Sambil La Candelaria.

Cohen had already announced that the goal is to open the doors to the public at the end of November this year.

The structure has regarding 250 premises, of which at least half have been sold. As for parking, the supply of stalls is 2,200.
