Recovery Fund: 44.38 million for the purchase of vehicles for Civil Protection

Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis, signed a decision to join the Recovery Fund, a project for the purchase of vehicles, with a budget of 44,380,000 euros, in order to upgrade and strengthen Civil Protection at regional and local level.

This Action concerns the purchase of:

*Six breathing apparatus vehicles.

*Ninety-eight SUV C class utility vehicles.

*Six heavy-duty jeep utility vehicles (4X4).

*Forty-eight auxiliary pick-up vehicles (4X4).

*Ninety-eight nine-seater VAN utility vehicles.

*Eight VAN type trucks (4X4).

*One hundred and sixty MPV-type auxiliary vehicles for the transport of personnel and equipment.

*Twenty buses, 22 seats each.

*Fifteen buses, 30 seats each.

*Four buses, 50 seats each.

*Two ambulances.

*One hundred and fifty boats.

*Ten fire-fighting speedboats of immediate intervention with transport trailers.

*Eight E class passenger vehicles.

Ministry of responsibility and implementing and financing body is the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection.

According to ifimerida, the Action is part of the strengthening of fire and flood protection of the axis “sustainable use of resources, resilience to climate change and preservation of biodiversity” of the “Green Transition” Pillar of Recovery.
