Written by Samah Labib Saturday, September 23, 2023 01:00 AM Apple’s watchOS 10 operating system officially became available on September 18, and it provides a new feature in the Mindness application that gives you the option to record your feelings and moods directly on the watch face, and these updates will be available if You have an Apple Watch Series 4 or later model, here’s how to navigate this new feature How to record your mood When you open the Mindfulness app, tap “Mindfulness” and then “Start” to start the recording process, and from there, you can either record “Momentary Feelings” To enter how you feel at that moment, or “Daily Mood” to report how you are feeling overall that day. Using the watch’s digital crown, you can scroll through seven abstract images with corresponding emotional valences ranging from “very pleasant” to “very unpleasant.” Once you’ve identified an emotion, you can choose to record further and go into greater detail regarding the feelings you’re experiencing (including What has the greatest impact on you) by selecting options from the drop-down menu, engadget reports. How to view your mood logs over time You can monitor your daily logging activity in the Health app under the “Mental Wellbeing” tab. Using a paired iPhone, tap State of Mind and then open Show in Charts. From this page, you can view type entries for daily moods or momentary emotions, and you also have the option to view the lifestyle factors associated with those entries to see how your mood relates to variables like time in the sun, sleep trends, and exercise habits. Additionally, specific assessments for depression and anxiety can now be accessed in the Health app, and you can also export PDFs of personal health reports If you need to share records with a medical professional, you’ll need to open the Health app and tap the Share tab at the bottom from the screen. From there you can choose to “Share with someone,” such as a contact, or “Share with your doctor.”
