London – The English European champion Alessia Russo (23) might apparently ensure a world record transfer in women’s football. According to media reports, Arsenal FC from the Women’s Super League are said to have offered more than 400,000 pounds (456,000 euros) for the attacker from league rivals Manchester United. FC Barcelona paid the same amount to Manchester City in September for Russo’s national team-mate Keira Walsh.
