ABU DHABI: Record registration for the 14th Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship to be held from November 11 to 19 at Jiu-Jitsu Arena, Zayed Sports City. Since registration opened in February, all disciplines have seen an influx of world champions to participate. Almost 1,000 players from 30 countries have already registered.
Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship has reached the top of the global level, said Mohammed Salim Al Dahiri, Vice President of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation. The competition has been held in Abu Dhabi every year for 14 years. Soon following the 13th edition, planning for the next championship began. This time also the Jiu-Jitsu Championship will be a remarkable experience – he added. The two-day tournament will include competitions for children, juniors, teenagers and youth categories, amateur (for white and blue belts) and para-jiu-jitsu (for adults).
Abu Dhabi World Youth Jiu-Jitsu Championship-2022 will be held on 13-14 November. Athletes aged 10-17 years from around the world will participate. Abu Dhabi World Masters Jiu-Jitsu Championship-2022 will be held on 15-16 November.
