“At 50 Vocational Schools of Apprenticeship of the Public Employment Service (DYPA)which operate throughout Greece, provides professional training in specialties for which the demand is high and the supply of professionals limited“, points out the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Niki Kerameosin a post on her personal social media account, on the occasion of the visit she made yesterday, 23/9, to the Schools of Heraklion and Galatsi, at the beginning of the educational year.
Indicatively, some of the cutting-edge specialties provided are the following:
- PC systems support
- Thermal and plumbing installations
- Graphic arts-electronic form design
- Ωρολογοποιία
- Cooking-bakery-pastry
- Aesthetics-hairdressing
- Carpentry-furniture
- In her message, Mrs. Kerameos also highlights two noteworthy facts for this year, which are the following:
– More than 7,300 interested parties applied for participation in the programs of the 50 Schools, marking a record number of applications.
– The Schools are staffed with new permanent teachers, for the first time, after 17 whole years.
In this context, the Minister of Labor congratulates all the contributors to this great effort: the Public Employment Service (PYPA), its administration and staff, the administration of the Schools, but above all all the human resources of the Schools ( trainers and trainees). “Everyone contributes decisively to highlighting the importance of vocational education and training for our country,” says Mrs. Kerameos.
