The beginning of November is likely to reach record high temperatures, with many summer days with maximum temperatures of 25°C or higher. During the three-day weekend, rain will begin to fall from the west on the 5th (Sunday), and the rain will spread into the 6th (Monday), causing rough weather in many places. Here are the weather and temperature trends for the next two weeks.

November 1 (Water) ~ 7 (Fire)

From tomorrow, November 1st (Wednesday) onwards, the area around Honshu will be covered in high pressure, and many places will be mildly sunny.
However, the weather in northern Japan changes in short cycles. After a cold front passes from the night of the 1st (Wednesday) to the morning of the 2nd (Thursday) tomorrow, another front will pass from the 3rd (Friday) to the 4th (Saturday). For this reason, it is likely that there will be rain in Hokkaido, Tohoku, and Hokuriku. Although the rain and wind will temporarily increase, the flow of cold air will be weak and it will not snow even in the mountains.

On the 5th (Sunday), a low pressure system accompanied by a front will approach, bringing rain clouds from the west. On the 6th (Monday), rain will fall across the country, and as a low-pressure system develops, winds will become stronger and the weather will be generally rough. Cold air will move in on the 7th (Tuesday), and Hokkaido and Tohoku will experience snow, especially along the mountains, and there is a possibility of snow even on the flatlands of Hokkaido. If you haven’t changed your winter tires yet, do it during the holidays.

This period is also likely to see record high temperatures. In particular, the maximum temperature from the 2nd (Thursday) to the 4th (Saturday) is unusually high for November, and many places from Kanto to Kyushu will experience summer days with temperatures above 25℃. Summer days are expected in nearly 40% to 50% of the country, and there are likely to be places in Tohoku and Hokuriku that will experience summer days as well.

8th (water) ~ 13th (month)

From the 8th (Wednesday) onwards, it is likely that there will be many cloudy and rainy days on the Sea of Japan side of northern Japan and Hokuriku. On the 10th (Friday), a pressure trough will pass and rain will fall across the country.

Although the record high temperatures have subsided, temperatures will continue to be higher than normal. It won’t be as cold in the morning, and the weather will be pleasant and sunny during the day. The 8th (Wednesday) marks the beginning of winter in the 24 solar terms, marking the start of winter according to the calendar, but it will still be a while before we can feel any signs of winter.
