Over the three-day weekend, the temperature reached a record high for November. From Okinawa and Kyushu to the southern Tohoku region, there will be many summer spots (with maximum temperatures of 25°C or higher). After the holidays, the weather is likely to be stormy, with widespread rain and strong winds.

Unusual summer day even though it’s November

Unseasonably warm air of over 12 degrees Celsius will flow into the area at an altitude of 1,500 meters above the Japanese archipelago. It seems that there will be many summer spots (highest temperatures of 25℃ or higher) from Okinawa and Kyushu to the southern Tohoku region.

Fukuoka City will experience 5 consecutive summer days starting November 1st (Wednesday), while Nagoya City and central Tokyo will experience 3 consecutive summer days starting November 2nd (Thursday). In both cases, it would be the first time since the start of statistics that there would be so many summer days in a row in November. Osaka City is also expected to have four consecutive summer days starting from the 2nd (Thursday), which will be the first time in 34 years that there will be consecutive summer days.

Widespread stormy weather following the holidays

Autumn weather will continue from Kyushu to Kanto on the 2nd (Thursday). There will be rain and thunderstorms from Hokuriku to Hokkaido until the morning, but sunshine is expected to return during the day.

The 3rd (Friday: Culture Day) will be a bright sunny day, making it a good day to go out. On the 4th (Saturday), there will be a lot of clouds due to the influence of the front, and it is likely that there will be some rain in northern Kyushu and Hokkaido. On the 5th (Sunday), a low-pressure system will develop and move toward the western Japan Sea, bringing rain in places from Kyushu to the Tokai region. The southerly winds are likely to become stronger.

On the 6th (Monday), the low pressure system is expected to further develop and move toward northern Japan, and a front extending from the low pressure system is expected to pass near Japan. Rain is expected to fall widely from Kyushu to Hokkaido, and the wind is likely to increase. There is also a risk of heavy storms and heavy rain in Tohoku and Hokkaido. It will rain in places from Kanto to Hokkaido on the 7th (Tuesday) as well.
