Record High COVID-19 Infections in Kanagawa Prefecture: Latest Updates and Statistics

The Kanagawa Prefectural Institute of Health announced on the 31st that the number of people infected with the new coronavirus from August 21 to 27 was 6,443, a record high for two consecutive weeks. Of the 380 medical institutions designated by the prefecture, 356 reported. There were 18.10 people per place.

The number of people per medical institution by public health center jurisdiction is 32.00 at Misaki Center in Kamakura jurisdiction. Chigasaki City (including Samukawa Town) has 29.30 and Atsugi has 27.16. Among ordinance-designated cities, Yokohama had 15.04, Kawasaki had 20.20, and Sagamihara had 18.58.
