Record for 3-pointers made by a player in a single NBA game

The former Warriors guard Klay Thompson holds the record for most 3-pointers made in an NBA game with 14, as of this writing. He set that mark on October 29, 2018, in Chicago when he scored 52 points in Golden State’s 149-124 upset of the Bulls. Prior to Thompson’s 2018 performance, his former Warriors teammate Stephen Curry held the record with 13 3-pointers made (November 7, 2016 vs. New Orleans). Since then, two more players have made 13 3-pointers in a game, bringing the total to four.

While Curry no longer holds the single-game record, the all-time leader in 3-pointers made (3,747) has the most games with 10 or more 3-pointers made with 25. Fifty-three players have made at least 10 3-pointers in a game, but only two other players have done so more than three times: Thompson (nine) and Lillard (five).

In the NBA Playoffsthere have been only three games in which a player made at least 10 3-pointers. Damian Lillard He has two, including a record 12 3-pointers made on June 1, 2021, in a first-round overtime loss to the Denver Nuggets.
