Passenger traffic at Laâyoune airport recorded an increase of 30% during the first nine months of 2023, compared to the same period of the previous year.
Thus, a total of 191,163 passengers traveled through this airport infrastructure during the first nine months of 2023, compared to 147,343 passengers during the same period of 2022 and 187,277 at the end of September 2019 (+2%), according to data from the National Airports Office (ONDA).
At the national level, the Kingdom’s airports recorded the transit of a total of 19,413,904 passengers during the first nine months of 2023, a new record which represents an increase of 3% compared to the same period of 2019 and 35% compared to the year 2022.
Note that Moroccan airports experienced a significant increase in passenger transit compared to 2019, notably those of Tetouan (+ 459%), Essaouira (+72%), Tangier (+44%), Nador (+36 %), Oujda (+31%) and Fès-Saïss (+23%).
