AK NÖ-Wieser: “We help parents and young people make the right career and school choice.” 76 exhibitors in the Bad Vöslau thermal hall.

St. Pölten (OTS) Try out careers and gain insights into the working world of the future – this was something that numerous students were able to do again this year at the major career information fair “Future | work | Life” of the AK Niederösterreich. “The demand for well-trained specialists is unbroken and the need for information among young people and parents is particularly great. Our trade fair brings them closer to the variety of careers and further education opportunities at school. It is particularly important to us that the personal strengths and talents of the Leading children and young people to the right training,” says AK Lower Austria President and ÖGB NÖ Chairman Markus Wieser, who visited the trade fair on the public day with AK NÖ Director Bettina Heise and Mayor Christian Flammer.

Over the past three days, around 3,200 students from 144 school classes in Lower Austria visited the BO trade fair, which took place in Bad Vöslau for the tenth time this year. On the public day, 2,165 young people and their parents found out about training opportunities in the Bad Vöslau thermal baths. The organizers are pleased by the great interest and record number of visitors of 5,365 in total and shows the importance of timely and varied career orientation. The exhibitors also see it that way, they like to come back every year and are happy about the interested young people.

Zwtl: Focus on digitalization

3D printing, virtual reality and robots – today’s young people will work in almost every profession in the future in a rapidly changing digital work environment. In the world of digitalization, young visitors had virtual reality glasses or 3D printers to try out. “Digitalization is changing the world of work, traditional job profiles are changing and new jobs are emerging. “At Future I Work I Life, young people can familiarize themselves with the latest trends in the world of work 4.0,” says AK NÖ President Wieser.

Currently: 76 exhibitors & free application training

The young people were able to find out more about 76 exhibitors in Bad Vöslau. Over 60 schools and companies from the region as well as youth unions, specialist unions, institutions such as the AMS Lower Austria and the police were happy to welcome the interested visitors. A special highlight of the public day was the free application coaching. Experts and coaches gave tips for the interview, the application and the right outfit and styling. “The young people can practice job interviews in a highly professional manner and thus come an important step closer to their dream job,” emphasizes AK Lower Austria director Mag. Bettina Heise.

The career information fair “Future I Work I Life” takes place annually in Bad Vöslau and St. Pölten and is one of the largest events of its kind in Lower Austria. Around two thirds of compulsory school leavers in a year use the fair to obtain information. TIPP: The next public day will take place on Saturday 2. December 2023 im VAZ St. Pölten from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
