France is extremely concerned by the humanitarian situation in Gaza and continues to mobilize to help the civilian population.
In accordance with the commitments of the President of the Republic, France welcomes the first two injured Palestinian children, who arrived in France this Thursday, December 28. They were treated in pediatric hospital departments. The Ministry of Health and Prevention and the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, via its Crisis and Support Center and the French Embassy in Cairo, are working on a new operation to welcome injured Palestinian children or seriously ill from next week.
France thanks the Egyptian authorities for their assistance in the smooth running of these evacuations.
As recalled by Ms. Catherine Colonna, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, during her trip to Israel, we reiterate our call for the establishment of a humanitarian truce, which must be able to lead to a ceasefire sustainable, to allow the passage of humanitarian aid and the evacuation of the wounded. Mrs. Agnès Firmin Le Bodo, Minister of Health and Prevention, recalls the commitment of the French health system in welcoming children from Gaza requiring medical care.
