The occupations of asylum seekers left on the street by Fedasil have so far been relatively tolerated by the authorities. These, supported by the police, now seem to have changed course.

Lhe federal government will not have had time to savor its great agreement on migration for long. The sad reality of the reception crisis has once more imposed itself on the political and media agenda in recent hours.
Already on Friday, the police dislodged manu militari from a building located on avenue du Port (the former community center called “Allée du Kaai”) some forty asylum seekers claiming to have been forgotten during the evacuation of the camp opposite the Petit Castle in Molenbeek, two days earlier. The same expellees, for the most part, have found refuge since Sunday in a building belonging to the federal state and which should house, from next year, the future headquarters of the National Crisis Center, near the Gare du Nord in Saint Joseph.
