A judicial official was found dead in Ecuador.
The Public Ministry of Ecuador reported this Thursday the death of an official of the institution, who served as Secretary of the Prosecutor’s Office.

According to what was reported by the local newspaper La Hora, the 41-year-old man, identified as Jorge Fernando Viteri González, fell from the eighth floor of a building north of Quito.
As indicated by the authorities, in the first instance it is presumed that it would have been a suicide.

“We will give official information through institutional channels. We call for professional ethics and prudence out of respect for his family and friends,” added the Prosecutor’s Office.

This incident occurs one day following the murder of prosecutor César Suárez, who was shot by gunmen on Wednesday followingnoon when he was traveling in his vehicle through a sector in the north of the port city of Guayaquil near his home.
