Mother and son murdered in Añasco

The Puerto Rico Police Bureau is investigating the murder of a mother and son that occurred in a residence in Parcelas Marías in Añasco, as an attack directed at the man, who was 47 years old. The mother of José Luis Montalvo Benejam, identified as Gloria Benejam Rivera, is an innocent victim who died of several bullet wounds to the head, as confirmed by Primera Hora. The authorities’ investigation indicates that, in the early hours of yesterday morning, Benejam Rivera was in her room, when they shot at her residence from a vehicle. Several projectiles entered through the window of her room and hit her, causing her death.

The authorities are investigating a chase that occurred on the PR-3 highway in the municipality of Carolina, which ended with the death of a 21-year-old man. According to the preliminary report of the facts, agents who were patrolling in the aforementioned place carried out an intervention with a driver for going over a red light and driving outside the speed limits. In the middle of the intervention, they realized that the young man, identified as Giovan Luis Rivera Mendoza, had a weapon, for which they gave him verbal instructions. “The individual started the march ignoring the orders and shooting.
