Motorcyclists do not give up

According to information shared by Tránsito Bogotá, dozens of motorcycles moved from the Virgilio Barco Library, bound for the Ministry of Transportation.

The demonstrations had arranged different meeting points:

Carlos Lleras Virgilio Barco Library (10:00 am) Calima Shopping Center (9:00 am) Casa Club Picaminosos (calle 51 A sur with carrera 77, at 8:00 am)

This is in addition to the crashes that have occurred in the early hours of Friday morning, as accidents are reported in various locations.

From Tránsito Bogotá, on the Twitter account, they record road accidents, without any type of victims, more than material damage, in the town of Barrios Unidos, between car and motorcycle, and on Autonorte with 94th street, north-south direction.

A study by Johns Hopkins University revealed that 39% of drivers in Bogotá exceed speed limits.

Likewise, in the town of Fontibón, there was a collision between a truck and a bus on Centenario Avenue (13th Street) with Cali Avenue, east-west direction, around 9:40 am.

On the other hand, in Carrera 68 with Av. Esperanza, in a north-south direction, a motorcyclist fell and an ambulance had to be called. The same thing happened between a car and a pedestrian on Boyacá Avenue and Centenario Avenue (13th Street), in a south-north direction.

There was also an accident in the town of Suba, between a motorcycle and a pedestrian, on Boyacá avenue with 131st street, south-north direction.

In Bogota there have been several road accidents.

Due to the above, Mobility units and an ambulance had to be assigned.

In the town of Chapinero, between a car and a motorcycle, on Carrera 7 with Calle 92, in a north-south direction, there was also an incident.

The Public Transportation System does not escape crashes. In the town of Usme, between a SITP bus and a motorcycle on Avenida Boyacá with Calle 89a, south-north direction, an event occurred that required medical assistance. The same happened with the fall of a motorcyclist in the town of Tunjuelito, on Boyacá avenue with Villavicencio avenue, in a south-north direction.

Another accident was also reported with only material damage in the town of San Cristóbal. The crash occurred between a car and a motorcycle on Avenida Primero de Mayo with carrera eighth.

Another had to be treated by the medical unit, in the town of Suba, due to a collision between a truck and a motorcycle, on Autonorte with 116th street, north-south direction.

All these events occurred, in part, apparently, due to the state of the roads in the capital’s road arteries, given that heavy rains were recorded in the city during the night and early morning.
