The General Election COMMISSION (KPU) of Southwest Papua Province (PBD) has finally completed the recapitulation of the 2024 election votes at the district/city level.
Based on the Plenary Minutes from Sorong Regency, South Sorong Regency, Raja Ampat Regency, Tambrauw Regency and Sorong City, the political parties that received the largest number of votes and have the greatest chance of winning DPR RI seats are the Golkar Party, the Democratic Party and the NasDem Party.
The following is a Recapitulation of Regency/City Votes throughout the PBD
- South Sorong Regency, Golkar Party won 9,251 votes; NasDem 6,104 votes; and Democrats 2796 votes.
- Raja Ampat Regency, Golkar won 9,393 votes; NasDem 1928 votes; and Democrats 11,550 votes.
- Sorong Golkar Regency won 20,652 votes; NasDem 7,233 votes; and Democrats 9,089.
- Sorong City Golkar won 31,299 votes; NasDem 21,676 votes; and Democrats 19,251 votes.
- Tambrauw Regency Golkar won 11,482 votes, NasDem 613 votes, and Democrats 1,216.
- Maybrat Golkar Regency won 20,709 votes; NasDem 3,405 votes; and Democrats 716 votes.
From these votes, the total votes obtained from six districts/cities in Southwest Papua were Golkar with a total of 102,786 votes, NasDem 40,959 votes, and Democrat 44,618 votes. Thus, the ranking of seat winners in Southwest Papua is Golkar, Democrat and NasDem.
An expert member of the DPR RI, who is also a witness to the mandate of the NasDem Party at the Southwest Papua provincial level, Semarga Kebibe, when contacted, revealed that the province of Southwest Papua is a new province that needs guidance from the government.
“This is a new province that needs to be guided so that it becomes a region that truly prospers its people. Please don’t destroy Southwest Papua in bad faith with cheating which could actually make Southwest Papua lag behind other regions,” stressed Semarga Kebibe.
Semarga also appealed to the organizers to continue to monitor the people’s votes properly and correctly because if there is fraud that can be proven by political parties participating in the legislative and presidential elections, they can be prosecuted because it is a criminal act.
“It’s a shame that the result of a small mistake for a moment has an impact on the dismissal of the position that has been entrusted,” concluded Semarga Kebibe. (Z-7)
