Two cheeses from the “Isigny Sainte-Mère” brand were recalled throughout France on Wednesday September 6, 2023. According to Consumption reminder, these dairy products would potentially be contaminated with listeria. They were marketed between July 28 and August 30 in numerous major retailers.

The two cheeses belong to batch C1911 and have a minimum durability date set for Sunday September 3, 2023. In detail, the products concerned are: “Treasure of Isigny 150G” sold in Leclerc, Carrefour, Intermarché and Caramels d’Isigny stores (barcode: 3254550070236); “Little Vey” (150 g and 130 g) sold in Carrefour, Intermarché, Auchan, Système U, Cora, Match and Caramels d’Isigny stores (barcodes: 3254550070243 and 3254550070397).

Many symptoms

People who have purchased this product should not consume it. They are invited to throw it away or return it to the store to receive a refund. Those who have already consumed these cheeses and who present with aches and fever, isolated or accompanied by headaches, should “consult their treating physician and inform them of this consumption”.

Pregnant women and the elderly or immunocompromised “must be particularly attentive to these symptoms”, specify the health authorities. As a reminder, listeriosis is a disease that can cause serious forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women. Its incubation period can reach eight weeks.
