2023-10-26 08:24:35

Enoki mushrooms from the Lian Teng brand are being recalled due to the presence of the bacteria Listeria monocytogenes which might make their consumption dangerous.

The products affected by the recall are distributed in several stores and grocery stores in Quebec and Ontario, indicated the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).

Even if they do not show visible alteration, these mushrooms sold in 200 g packages should not be consumed, used, served or distributed, the CFIA indicated.

Contaminated mushrooms can still make you sick, including vomiting, nausea, fever, headache and muscle pain.

“Products subject to recall should be thrown away or returned to the place where they were purchased,” the federal agency warned in its press release.
