First Deputy Minister of Social Policy Daria Marchak said that from April 1, the recalculation of pensions for working pensioners is planned.

This applies to those pensioners whose payments were not indexed in March. She noted that we are talking regarding the recalculation of pensions, and not indexation.

“Indexation is a tool to increase the income of the least protected category of citizens, who usually do not have other sources of income, except for pensions paid from the state. Unlike them, those still working pensioners have an additional source of income in the form of wages, and this allows them to better provide for themselves,” Marchak explained.

According to the official, pensions will be recalculated for working pensioners who, following the appointment of pensions, continued to work and acquired at least 24 months of insurance experience.

Marchak stressed that the recalculation will be carried out automatically, that is, Ukrainians will not have to go to the Pension Fund and submit an application. As the First Deputy Minister noted, the recalculation of pensions in 2023 will take place on the most favorable terms:

-or taking into account the length of service following the previous appointment (recalculation) of the pension;

-or taking into account the length of service and wages following the previous appointment (recalculation) of the pension.

Recall, earlier it was reported that in Ukraine they want to change payments on subsidies: the Office of the President warned that they intended to introduce.
