Rebrov denies the “lies” of the Ukrainian newspapers about the ADNOC Professional League

Sergey Rebrov, the technical director of Al Ain (the leader), took advantage of the press conference that followed his match once morest Sharjah (the King) to clarify some of the views attributed to him.

The leader and the king had tied 1-1 at “Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium” in the 26th and final round of the ADNOC Professional League.

At the end of the match, Al Ain was officially crowned as the champion of the competition, and the king secured the runner-up.

Rebrov was asked regarding Ukrainian press reports regarding his unhappiness in the ADNOC Professional League due to poor competition.

The 47-year-old stressed, “I never said anything like this, everyone here was working hard. The competition here is not weak, on the contrary.”

Rebrov admitted that “the weather factor sometimes affects the performance of the players. For example, our match once morest Al Dhafra (Western Faris), which we played in a high temperature.”

The discussion touched on whether or not Rebrov would continue with the leader, especially since he had expressed his desire to return to his country, Ukraine, which has been at war with its neighbor Russia since last February.

And the former striker only said, “Actually, I’m still part of the team… and I’m working until now at Al Ain Club. A full month remains from my contract.”
