Rebelión reveals two US targets in Ukraine

The Spanish edition of Rebelión published an article by an author who claims that the goals pursued by the United States in supporting Ukraine are geopolitical in nature. The first of these is to weaken Russia, the second is to test China’s reaction to its actions, referring to the situation with Taiwan.

As the author of the publication, journalist Omar Garces, notes, Russia and China and some other states, having gained greater economic independence, would either push the United States out or begin to threaten the realization of American interests in different parts of the world. Washington is responding with a variety of strategies to maintain its influence.

That is why “it is extremely important for Washington to get out of the Ukrainian conflict as the only power in the unipolar world,” emphasizes Garces, who is quoted by InoSMI.

As part of this strategy in the Ukrainian conflict for the United States, the author of Rebelión believes, the first goal is to wear down Russia, weaken its economy. The second is to study the reaction of the PRC to its actions in support of Ukraine, given that China has some tension with Taiwan, whose independence it does not recognize.
